Just a quick note to let you know that I am now officially on leave.  Holidays here we come.  I will be taking annual leave from 25 July - 15 August inclusive.

Tomorrow I fly out to Paris.  3 weeks in glorious France.

No computer, iphone, email, nothing to connect me to the world.  BUT, I will have my camera :-)

I promise I will email you as soon as I return, jet-lagged or not - I thankyou for your patience in this regard.

au-revoir, time to kick my feet up.

I am so excited! On Sunday 27th June, I will be showcasing my PHOTOGRAPHY at Mathilda’s Market. This is a fabulous niche market that offers unique, stylish and affordable baby & kids goods that are lovingly handmade or manufactured. The retailers are handpicked to ensure an exciting product range. It’s a kid’s shopping heaven. Better yet, most of the retailers do not have a shop front, so you know you’ll find something special, not available anywhere else. Please come and see my stand at Mathilda’s Market from 9am to 1pm at the Hyatt Hotel Canberra, Commonwealth Ave, Yarralumla (easy pram access at rear). Entry and parking is free. With almost 60 retailers, divine food by the Hyatt Hotel and kids’ entertainment Mathilda’s Market is one of Canberra’s best shopping destinations for the little ones. For a sneak preview, have a look at the website (www.mathildasmarket.com.au) and enjoy a browse through the photos of all participants.

As a little incentive, I will be giving out some gift cards entitling the holder to a FREE Session Fee.  That is a discount of $150.00.

I look forward to seeing you there!

This year for the very first time, I entered the combined ACT/NSW State Professional Photography Awards held in Sydney on Sunday and Monday.  I also decided to make the journey up to Sydney and watch the judging, an invaluable opportunity for me to meet some of the best photographers in both NSW and the ACT.

Believe me, this was such a daunting and very humbling affair - my work would be critiqued against the best of the best that NSW/ACT had to offer.  Well I am extremely proud to announce that one of entries received a Silver award.  I cannot tell you how amazing this feels - lil ole me, an award winning photographer.

So here is my award winning image

Now I also wanted to show you one more image.  This image was one point off winning a silver award

You cannot imagine my excitement when these arrived in the post last week, they are simply adorable.  **Sigh** they are almost too cute to give away.

They are teeny tiny business cards, our families very own personalised business cards with a selection of my favourite images on the front, and our families personal details on the back.

So now here is the BIG NEWS.  You to could have your own set of personalised business cards.  I am so proud to announce this new and exclusive product.  I design these gorgeous mini business cards on an individual basis with a selection of your favourite images from your photography session (and of course your families details on the back).  The quality is superb, and they come with a little card holder so they don’t get damaged in your handbag.

These come absolutely FREE with any purchase of prints and products over $2000.00.

For cost and full details, please contact me on robyn@robyngeeringphotography.com

I just wanted to very quickly let those lovely pregnant Mums that have contacted me regarding this post, I will be in contact with you all next week.

Have a lovely long weekend.

Would you like to have some maternity images taken free of charge - yes, I did say that - FREE OF CHARGE.

So what’s catch -  it is only a tiny catch, I promise.

I am looking for a lovely belly that doesn’t mind being shown to the world.  So that means that I am looking for an expectant mum to be that feels comfortable in her own skin, as I plan to use these photographs on my website and other marketing materials or even a competition or two.

INTEREST YOU - read on

1. although I am looking for a lovely Mum to be, ideally I would love the Dad to be in some of these images to - come Dads, don’t be shy.

2. I am roughly looking for someone that is no more than 32 weeks pregnant.   Of course, if you are feeling super mobile, capable of getting up and down, lying on your back, and going on a little bush trek to get to our chosen location, then please feel free to give me a bell - we are all different.

3. you will receive all of the images I plan to use as full resolution digital files (roughly 10 images - more if I have them).  And just because I am super nice, you will also receive these images printed 5×7.5 inches.   You may also have the opportunity to then purchase other products at a seriously reduced rate -  50% of my retail rates.

STILL INTERESTED - read on

4. i will require you to sign a model release.

5. again, these images are for use on my website, and marketing materials and to enter competitions.
