Merry Christmas and a Safe 2014 [Canberra Portrait Photographer]

Just 2 days before Christmas, and another year nearly gone.  Sometimes I think that if I blink, another year will pass me by.  But over these next couple of weeks, I am going to take a moment to breathe.  I’m going to take a moment to reflect on, what has been an amazing year for me.

In May of this year, I was completely honoured to win the State level of the ACT/NSW AIPP Professional Photography Awards, taking out the Family Category, making me the 2013 ACT AIPP Professional Family Photographer of the Year.  I was interviewed here, and this lead to a feature in the Canberra Times here.  Then of course, our adventure abroad, to Europe for 6 weeks.  I have been keeping the images to share, when I get a moment to my self  – that I hope will be shortly, at sometime over the school holidays.

Then THIS happened.  It was BIG.  It was a dream come true.  It was so unexpected, it just blew my socks off.  In September of this Year, I was incredibly humbled to receive the 2013/14 Canon AIPP AUSTRALIAN Professional Family Photographer of the year.  It was picked up by the media again, this time featuring in the main part of the Canberra Times here, and that was that, my business went into over-drive.   I have been chasing my tail ever since, and grateful that I have amazingly understanding clients that have allowed me the space.

I can’t wait for 2014 to arrive now.  I have been doing a lot of thinking over the last couple of months, and as a result, changes will be made.  Good changes though.  Welcome changes.

It is time for me to clock off for a couple of weeks holiday.  I will be back in the office, refreshed and ready to start the year on the 15th of January 2014.  For now, here are just a few of some of my favourite images from 2013.

Merry Christmas to you all, and to all a good night.
