Well hello 2014, and a Happy New Year to you all.
It’s so great to be back on board, well nearly anyway. Just one week before the kids start a new school year, and I am quitely working behind the scenes before I launch into action.
I’m not usually one to undertake ongoing personal projects, because, let’s face it, I have three children, and a business that is growing faster than I can keep up with at the moment, so that leaves very little time for me, and to just be. When I saw this idea, I thought, yes, perfect, I love it, but of course for difference reasons to my Northern Hemisphere friends. I haven’t seen Canberra looking this dry and brown since the Drought. It’s hot, hot hot, and with no rain over the last 2-3 months, my garden is dying. When I look around me, I see this wide brown land in all it’s glory.
But I do need colour in my life, so I have set about bringing the colour back into my life. I am going on a seven week exploration to seek colour and capture it. For one week each, I am capturing the following colours – Red, Yellow, Pink, Green, Purple, Orange, and Blue.
If you are on Instagram, you can follow my journey here, and also on my blog. I will be sharing loads of my personal life, and my children, so I hope you enjoy watching this little project unfold. For now, here is a selection of my favourites from Red, featuring Ruby, Will, Harriet, Noodle (our dog) and our life.
